The southern European state of Monaco is considered the second smallest state in the world, but the trend of gin has arrived. In May 2020, the first gin produced in Monaco was launched: “Gin Aux Agrumes” from the distillery “La Distillerie de Monaco”. The fruity gin was first released in May 2020 and the first batch was sold out within a very short time. Besides coriander and juniper berries, locally grown citrus fruits like bitter and sweet oranges, lemons, grapefruit, limes, and lemon thyme are added to the gin, which is why the producer Philip Culazzo describes it as a “citrus explosion”. Bergamot and ginger give it a full taste. The Gin of the Principality, whose bottle has a vintage art label on it, was featured as the Gin of the Month May 2020 in the British magazine “Ginned!”.
The “La Distillerie de Monaco” is the first and so far only distillery in Monaco. Located in the La Condamine district of the city, the distillery offers a collection of liqueurs and spirits that represent the Principality of Monaco with their fruity citrus taste. The distillery produces exclusive liqueurs and spirits by selecting the best local ingredients and only taking handcrafted production steps.
The bar “Lounge Salle Europe” is open to all visitors – but especially to gambling lovers. The bar of the casino in Monte Carlo with its majestic hall offers an appealing James Bond atmosphere. Separated from the casino, you can enjoy your drinks in a cozy area and watch the entertainment in a more intimate setting. In addition to gins, the menu in the Salle Europe also includes martinis, vodkatinis, champagne, and in-house cocktails.
