Title: 315 UPSTAIRS DRY GIN

Berries

315 Upstairs Heidelberger Dry Gin gets its name from the 315 steps one has to climb to arrive at the famous Heidelberg Castle. The manufactory is on top of Heidelberg, where you can look over the whole city and region. The region is extremely important to the manufacturers, most ingredients are from Germany, like blueberries from the black forest and juniper berries and herbs from the Bavarian forest.

The Steps to Success The connection to the city does not end here: 315 contains blueberry (in German Heidelbeere) and bergamot (in German Bergamotte), two tasty ingredients that contain the two syllable of this gin’s hometown: Heidelberg. 315 is well suited for beginners who are testing the gin waters: with its mild taste, citrus notes and floral aroma everyone will like this gin. 315 has won Grand Gold this year at the Frankfurter International Spirit Trophies. Diluted to 43%, 315 is quite strong, but not too strong, you can drink it neat without a problem.

Upstairs Gin was founded by Christopher Wloka and produces tasty German gin. Wloka had absolved an apprenticeship to be a fully trained hotel clerk, then trained to become a chef and refine his palette, when he decided to study at the oldest hotel school in Germany. There, in Heidelberg, he started working on the first Upstairs Gin with fellow students and marketing it already, while still in school. Upstairs Gin was finally founded in 2016 and the team around Flo has grown bigger since then. Now Upstairs Gin is a popular spirit in Germany, and maybe before long even world-wide.
