The first gin that ever came on the market in Monaco is the “Gin Aux Agrumes” from the distillery “La Distillerie de Monaco”. The fruity gin was first released in May 2020. and the first batch was sold out within a very short time. Besides coriander and juniper berries, locally grown citrus fruits are added to the gin, which is why the producer Philip Culazzo describes it as a “citrus explosion”. Bitter and sweet oranges, lemons, grapefruit, limes, bergamot, ginger, and lemon thyme are added. The Gin of the Principality, whose bottle has a vintage art label on it, was featured as the Gin of the Month May 2020 in the British magazine “Ginned!”
